Over one semester, you will improve your English language skills to upper intermediate level.
You will be studying fulltime. You are expected to attend weekly classes and lectures. Outside of lectures and classes, you will need to reserve time for self-study and group work.
You are expected to attend weekly lectures and classes online. All programs include weekly live lectures, but the number of contact teaching hours varies between programs.
Additionally, students at Edunation Study Hubs will attend face-to-face lessons from Monday to Friday.
You will have approximately six hours of online classes per week, and the rest of the time should be reserved for self and group study. Outside of class hours, you will be interacting with your teachers and peers through the online learning platform and/or at the Study Hub.
All online lectures will take place between 8 AM and 12 AM Helsinki/Finland time. In addition, you will have access to a variety of pre-recorded lectures.
Typically, one class lasts for 50 minutes.
We use a variety of different assessment methods. Course assessment is usually based on coursework, written assignments, participation, presentations, and exams. Throughout the program, you will receive support and feedback from your teachers. We also use peer and self-assessment methods to encourage you to take greater responsibility for your learning.
The amount of English classes depends on the program you have chosen.

NB! Students applying to study Early Childhood Education and Care will continue to degree studies at Turku University of Applied Sciences.
You must complete the Pathway Diploma studies within the completion time and pass all study courses.
Typically, you will be studying English and basic studies related to your chosen study field. Our study courses focus on developing your academic study skills, such as critical thinking, academic writing, and digital skills.
The tuition fee includes lectures, online classes, tutorials, access to an online learning environment, and academic support. In addition, you will receive assistance with residence permits and support with practical arrangements when moving abroad.
With our installment plan, you will not need to pay for the first month of studies. This way, you can start your classes and see if our program is the right fit for you. Please note that this payment method is only available for our Pathway Diploma programs in Business and Engineering and Technology.
Yes, we charge an application fee of 50 EUR. The fee includes Edunation’s customer service and support services during and after admission.
Yes, you can pay for your first semester of studies in two installments. The first payment will be made after the first month of studies.
Eligibility and documentation
You will need to submit the following documents:
- Copy of the final/official higher secondary school certificate
- Transcript of records
- Copy of passport ID page
- Proof of English language skills
In order to be eligible to to apply for the Pathway Diploma program you must be eligible for higher education in your home country. You also need to have sufficient English language skills.
You are allowed to retake exams and assignments twice. If you fail the re-sits, you have to retake the whole study course in the next semester.
Edunation Pathway Diploma provides guaranteed progression to degree studies at one of our partner universities.
Duration of the studies depends on the program you have chosen:
- Pathway studies in Early Childhood Education and Care: 6 months.
- Pathway Diploma for Business: 14 weeks (Standard) and 28 weeks (Extended)
- Pathway Diploma for Engineering and Technology: 14 weeks (Standard) and 28 weeks (Extended)
All students will progress to a university after completing the program at the required level.
Due to limited study places, it is recommended that you select the destination university during the application process.
Our minimum age requirement is 17 years or older.
At the moment, the Edunation Pathway Diploma is only recognized by our partner universities.
No additional testing is required after completing the program.
Yes. After successfully completing the Pathway Diploma, you will be eligible to progress into your pre-selected study program.
Guaranteed progression means that you will be eligible to start your studies at your pre-selected university after you have passed the Pathway Diploma courses at the required level.
