What is Ausbildung or Dual Vocational Training (DVT)?
Participants spend part of their time 1-2 days a week studying academic subjects at a vocational school (Berufsschule) and the rest 3-4 days applying their knowledge in practical settings under professional guidance.
This system provides comprehensive real-world experience and helps you build essential skills for your professional development opportunities. Programs typically last 2–3.5 years.
Thao is from Vietnam and finds the programme beneficial and enjoyable. One advice from Thao. If you are interested to train in Germany, you must be highly motivated to learn the language and a passion for learning new culture.

Participants experience a structured weekly schedule that balances learning, practice, and cultural immersion. Free time can be used to explore local communities, improve language skills, and connect with peers.

A blocked account is generally not required, depending on the placement structure and financial arrangements. However, visa requirements may vary, so we recommend confirming your specific case with Edunation before starting your visa application.
What qualification do students receive after 3 years?
Graduates receive an officially recognized vocational certificate issued by the German chamber authority. This qualification is accepted across Germany and recognized in many other European countries.
Is the qualification recognized outside Europe?
Recognition varies by country and must be assessed individually. However, graduates benefit from having an internationally respected credential combined with German-language proficiency.
