The Nordic business environment is a natural context for Finnish companies to either start or develop their international business activities. Master’s degree program in International Business Management is for you if you are interested especially in Nordic market.
One of the main focus points in the Master’s in International Business Management is the Nordic market. The program is aimed for students who intend to develop their abilities and knowledge regarding these kinds of markets.
The application period for September 2021 intake is closed now, but you can leave a pre-application to Edunation and you can apply for the following intakes!

Applicants who have completed a qualification outside Finland must submit the following documents to Edunation:
- Copy of bachelor’s degree certificate from a related field
- Copy of the transcript of academic records
Note: Original copies must be shown when arriving in Finland.

There are no specific English language eligibility requirements for application to Arcada’s master programs.
- Minimum GMAT score 500 or equivalent GRE score
Arcada’s GRE code is 2523. Please use this code when requesting your score to be sent to Arcada.
Motivational letter and video
Applicants need to submit a motivational letter and video as attachments to their application, or at latest 7 days after submission of the application.
- Employment certificate(s) with a minimum of 2 years of work experience
Applicants may also be interviewed if needed.
Note: All documents need to be translated to English, if the original document is not in English. The translations need to be signed and stamped by an authorized translator.
Arcada is the only University of Applied Sciences in Finland with a master’s degree program in English which focuses on the Nordic business environment.
The master’s program in International Business Management is 90 ECTS with studies that last 1.5 years (full-time studies) or 3 years (part-time studies). All students study a general knowledge course module, and can then choose between two unique tracks – Nordic markets and Financial technology.
During the program, you will be studying the following modules:
- Business Management 30 ECTS
- The Nordic Context 15 ECTS
- Financial technology (Fintech) 15 ECTS
- Research support and electives 15 ECTS
Upon completion of these modules, you are required to deliver a master’s thesis worth 30 ECTS.
