The new Master’s Degree in Game Business Management targets individuals currently employed or seeking positions in game development organizations with a focus on growth and internationalization. It is also suitable for employees of organizations already involved in global operations. The main emphasis of this degree program lies in cultivating skills related to management, leadership, research and development methods, global economic issues, international game business, and game development project management.

The program is designed for individuals in or aspiring to join growth-oriented and internationally active game development organizations, as well as professionals from organizations engaged in global operations.
The curriculum is centred around topics such as management, leadership, research and development methods, global economic issues, and international game business, along with game development project management. The coursework comprises 60 ECTS, divided into 12 individual courses, each worth 5 ECTS. These courses are designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel as high-level business leaders in the contemporary business landscape. Some course assignments and the research-based development assignment (Master’s thesis) involve working on behalf of organizations that have commissioned them. The program incorporates a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, e-learning, independent learning, group work, discussions, and assignments.

The students are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.
- a Bachelor’s degree or another appropriate higher education degree (such as BBA in business information technology, game development, game design or similar, BA in game design, game art, business degree etc.)
- at least two years of subsequent work experience in a relevant field. In order to be eligible, applicants must have 24 months (two years) of work experience accumulated as from the date of award of the final degree certificate and obtained no later than 31 December 2023. In case the work experience is in the field of game development, a bachelor’s degree in business gives eligibility to apply.
- IELTS 5.5, TOEFL IBT 46-59, Pearson PTE 42-50, Duolingo 85-90, Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) 47 + English speaking countries if prior education in English
- 2 years / 24 months of work experience. Work experience is given in full months. When converting part-time work (work under 35 hours per week) into its full-time equivalent, 150 hours or 20 working days lasting at least 7 hours per day correspond to one month of work. Work experience does not have to be continuous or obtained with the same employer. The amount of work experience points awarded for simultaneous employment relationships may not exceed the amount awarded for full-time employment.
- Entrepreneurship will be accepted as work experience if an applicant can produce a certificate attesting that he or she is or has been covered under the statutory YEL or MYEL pension scheme. (YEL = statutory pension scheme for entrepreneurs; MYEL = statutory pension scheme for farmers, forest estate owners, fishers and reindeer herders and their family members). Enterprising activities abroad should be substantiated with comparable official documents.
- Work experience must be verifiable with official work certificates (employment contracts are not taken into account).
