KAMK‘s Bachelor’s degree in International Business (IB) provides you with a high-quality business education and international business experience. It also aims to provide you with the vital skills needed to work in expert positions. The IB program is practically oriented. The studies in the International Business program include lectures and seminars to build the theoretical background for the subjects. There is also a lot of group work, project work and presentations to apply the theory into practice. The students will participate in real-life business projects and also in arranging different kinds of events within different courses.

The Master’s Degree in Global Business Management at Kajaani University of Applied Sciences offers a path towards achieving management roles, building a robust professional network, or even launching your own business. This English-taught program, which welcomes applicants with at least a Bachelor’s degree, is multidisciplinary and designed to equip students with essential skills.

The program’s primary emphasis is on strategic management and innovation in global business, research and development methodologies, and the integration of new technologies into business practices. The program is aimed at helping individuals reach management positions, expand their professional networks, and potentially venture into entrepreneurship.

The degree’s core objectives and content revolve around strategic management, global business innovation, research and development techniques, and the integration of cutting-edge technologies in the business landscape. The Master´s Degree in Global Business Management includes full-time studies on campus for 2 years. The program comprises a total of 90 ECTS: course work accounts for 60 ECTS and the remaining 30 ECTS are for the graduate thesis. The 60 ECTS of course work includes 12 individual courses of 5 ECTS each.

  • Copy of passport ID page
  • Relevant work experience (2 years, 24 months)

The students are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • a Bachelor’s degree or another appropriate higher education degree in Business, Technology or Computer Sciences
  • at least two years of subsequent work experience in a relevant field. In order to be eligible, applicants must have 24 months (two years) of work experience in the field of business and commerce, technology or computer science accumulated as from the date of award of the final degree certificate and obtained no later than 31 December 2023.
  • IELTS 5.5, TOEFL IBT 46-59, Pearson PTE 42-50, Duolingo 85-90, Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) 47 + English speaking countries if prior education in English
  • Work experience is given in full months. When converting part-time work (work under 35 hours per week) into its full-time equivalent, 150 hours or 20 working days lasting at least 7 hours per day correspond to one month of work. Work experience does not have to be continuous or obtained with the same employer. The amount of work experience points awarded for simultaneous employment relationships may not exceed the amount awarded for full-time employment.
  • Entrepreneurship will be accepted as work experience if an applicant can produce a certificate attesting that he or she is or has been covered under the statutory YEL or MYEL pension scheme. (YEL = statutory pension scheme for entrepreneurs; MYEL = statutory pension scheme for farmers, forest estate owners, fishers and reindeer herders and their family members). Enterprising activities abroad should be substantiated with comparable official documents.
  • Work experience must be verifiable with official work certificates (employment contracts are not taken into account).
