Overview
Lapland University of Applied Sciences, also known as Lapland UAS, was established in 2014 as a merger between Rovaniemi University of Applied Sciences and Kemi-Tornio University of Applied Sciences. The university is located in Lapland, Finland.

Admission criteria
You can apply to Lapland University of Applied Sciences through the Pathway to Finland program. This is a preparatory program that will help you gain admission to bachelor’s degree studies in Finland. You will get a guaranteed entry to a degree program upon completion. No entrance exams and interviews are required.

Tuition Fees & Scholarship
Tuition Fees
Students who are from non-EU/EEA countries are required to pay a fee of 8000 € per academic year for bachelor’s degrees in English.
The tuition fee for the academic year must be paid at the time of confirming the study place. The fee must be paid at once and cannot be paid in installments. Study right will be canceled if the tuition fee is not paid until the deadline.
Scholarships
Scholarships based on the proficiency in the Finnish language and the progress of studies:
1. Second-year students
A student receives a scholarship on the basis of passed Finnish 1 and Finnish 2 study units and the progress of studies. The student must have completed at least 60 credits after the first year. The amount of the scholarship is EUR 4,000.
2. Third-year students
A student receives a scholarship on the basis of completing the Finnish assessment test and the progress of studies. The student must have completed at least 120 credits after the second year. Students who have achieved level 2 or 3 in language proficiency and made progress in their studies will receive a scholarship of EUR 4,000. The results of assessment tests completed during studies will be accepted.
3. Fourth-year students
A student receives a scholarship on the basis of completing the Finnish assessment test and the progress of studies. The student must have completed at least 180 credits after the third year. Students who have achieved level 3 in language proficiency and made progress in their studies will receive a scholarship of EUR 1,500 in degree programs of 210 credits and EUR 3,000 in degree programs of 240 credits. The results of assessment tests completed during studies will be accepted.
