The aim of the bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management is to provide the tourism and hospitality industry with managers who know how to balance travelers’ expectations for memorable experiences while protecting nature, culture, and the whole planet.
In the program-specific studies, Lapland emphasize:
- Sustainability, risk management, and other field-related issues related to the tourism business.
- Contemporary marketing, including eCommerce and product development
- Various language and cultural studies
Lapland University works in close connection with the local tourism business. The Degree Program in Tourism also has specific tourism companies in the area with which the university has deeper cooperation through various projects and other study-related assignments.
You can expand your professional skills in practice during your training periods. The degree includes 30 ECTS of practical training which can also be completed outside Finland. Training enables you to create valuable networks and connections to tourism companies and other organizations in the field.
The Bachelor of Hospitality Management will offer you the skills and expertise required in the international tourism and hospitality industry. After your graduation, you will be able to work for private and public organizations having excellent competencies and skills in tourism-related subjects with a multicultural and international aspect.
