In this program, you’ll learn all the important basics of business, like how to handle money, understand the economy, and make smart decisions. You’ll also become smart at writing and communicating effectively – skills that are super important no matter what you do.

You’ll also learn deeper into the world of international business. Think about learning how different cultures do business, how to start your own company across borders, and how to market and sell products around the world. You’ll become an expert in building relationships with businesses all over the globe.

And of course, sustainability is at the heart of it all. You will not just learn the basics, but you’ll also discover how to make entire businesses, from start to finish, sustainable.

On top of all that, you’ll get really good at languages and communicating across cultures, which will help you land an awesome job, whether you want to work here in Finland or anywhere else in the world.

By the time you graduate in three years, you’ll be a pro at using your knowledge, communicating your ideas, solving tough problems, and thinking critically about the world around you.

The Bachelor’s Program in Sustainable International Business takes three years to complete. You’ll earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Business Administration, which is equivalent to 180 ECTS credits.

The program covers the essential business basics, specialized international business topics, language skills, communication training, and requires you to write a final thesis.

We recommend studying abroad at one of the partner universities of LUT, which will be a great opportunity to broaden your horizons. If you’re an international student and plan to work in Finland, consider taking some Finnish language courses.

Most courses are taught in person at the Lappeenranta campus, though some may be online or a blend of both.

With this degree, you’ll have tons of career options. You could work for a big company or the government, as a manager developing new products or growing a business.

You could also work in international sales, manage how products get from A to B, or become an expert in selling products to other countries.

And because sustainability is so important, you could also find yourself working on projects that involve anything from creating new eco-friendly products to communicating about sustainability to writing reports about how companies can be more responsible.
