The Software Engineers for Green Deal (SE4GD) by Erasmus Mundus trains software engineers to address sustainability issues. These specialists can create, design, and implement sustainable software-based solutions for local and global contexts. Through responsible system development, our graduates will impact individuals, society, companies, and governments.

The curriculum emphasizes software-based sustainable development. It places a human focus on sustainability, provides socially responsible education, and trains ICT workers in advanced sustainability skills.

Regular Admission:

The program trains a new generation of software engineers to emphasize software sustainability and its social impacts.

Graduates of the Master’s program will have:

1. Understanding sustainable development challenges and environmental constraints in service engineering and digitalization; 2. Proficiency in identifying technical and social needs, and making impactful software development decisions.
3. expertise in building, reviewing, and modifying software, procedures, and solutions to address sustainable development issues;
4. A worldwide professional network that connects you to local and global sustainability issues and communities attempting to address them.

The Master’s Programme Software Engineers for Green Deal is a two-year programme.

The program awards three degrees from three universities: Master of Science in Technology (software engineering), Master of Computer Science, and Master of Science in Computer Science (software engineering and green IT). ´120 ECTS credits are offered.

The curriculum has four semesters.

The Master’s Programme Software Engineers for Green Deal prepares you for software engineer, specialist, or project and team leader responsibilities.

Research and academic careers are also possible with the degree.

Graduates can become sustainability consultants, software developers, architects, user experience specialists, etc.
