Organizations today are using business analytics for their decision-making purposes.
The need for this is growing due to the abundance of data available. Business analytics includes quantitative and statistical analysis, data mining, multivariate testing and predictive modelling. It uses data to evaluate past performances and to draw up plans for the future.
In business analytics, you will examine data through operational and statistical analysis, optimisation techniques, and the formation of predictive models, and we communicate the results to business partners, customers, etc. Business analytics leverages evidence-based data and quantitative methods for decision making and business modelling.
As a graduate from this programme, you will be in high demand and have access to interesting positions in business and industry.
Your studies in this programme will focus on theoretical knowledge and technical skills in relevant business analytics methods, including data analytics, modelling, simulation, and multiple-criteria decision-making methods, and the practical use of the methods on real-world data in a real-world business or industry context. The software and tools applied during the course are standard in the industry.

As a graduate of Business Analytics, you will be a competent business analytics professional who knows and can critically analyze the theories and methods in the field.
During the program, you will acquire:
- professional skills to critically analyze the theories and methods in this field; you will be able to choose the correct business analytics methods and use them in practice to draw logical conclusions and make recommendations in strategic decision-making situations;
- competence in applied business research; you will be able to draw justified conclusions and analytically discuss the implications of research results;
- responsible business skills to critically evaluate the consequences of business decisions from a responsibility perspective;
- teamwork skills: you will have good collaboration and interpersonal communication skills and will be an effective team member and capable of solving problems in teams.
The program includes core, advanced specialization and language studies.
Core studies, 60 ECTS credits, include courses on the background, basics, and tools of business analytics and business development, such as information systems in corporate management and decision-making, business ethics, data analytics, simulation, and system dynamics in business analytics and business process modeling.
Advanced specialization studies, 24 ECTS credits, include courses on topics such as real options and managerial decision-making, the basics of business analysis, marketing analytics, big data analytics, and advanced decision-making methods.
Language studies, 6 ECTS credits, in one foreign language; not English.
The Master’s thesis, 30 ECTS credits, is an advanced research project completed during the fourth semester. It requires approximately six months of full-time work.
