Turku University of Applied Sciences (Turku UAS)

Make sure you have all the following documents ready when you fill out the application form.

REQUIREMENTS

• Copy of the final/official upper secondary school certificate
• Transcript of Records (upper secondary education)
• Grading Scale (if not included in transcript)
• Valid Passport ID (proof of nationality)
• Additional requirements depending on the selection method

Note: Original certificates must be presented upon arrival in Finland. Non-English, Finnish, or Swedish documents must be officially translated, signed, and stamped by an authorized translator.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

The applicant is eligible to apply if they have completed a qualification outside Finland that qualifies them for higher education in the country where it was awarded or provides eligibility for higher education studies in Finland. A minimum GPA of 50% is required when applying through Edunation; specific grade and GPA requirements may vary depending on the selection method.

SELECTION METHOD

To be eligible for Rolling Application, one of the following certificates is required:

1) English language certificate + Online Interview (Regular)

• Must have an upper secondary or higher education degree completed in one of the following countries: Algeria, Argentina, Australia, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Mongolia, Morocco, Nepal, New Zealand, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Syria, Taiwan, Tanzania, Thailand, Tunisia, Türkiye, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Uzbekistan, Vietnam ONLY
• 1-3 interview rounds between June and September 2026.
• A limited number of eligible applicants will be invited to an online interview, based on the order in which complete applications are submitted. Each round has limited capacity, and once seats are filled, some eligible applicants may not receive an interview invitation.

2) SAT Test (Rolling)

• Minimum score: 400 in Evidence-Based Reading and Writing + 400 in Math
• Only SAT tests taken after March 2016 are acceptable.
• Official results must reach Turku UAS (code 6867) in the College Board database by September 17, 2026.
• You must also order an official score report to be sent directly from the College Board to Turku UAS by the deadline.
• Reports printed or sent by the applicant him/herself are not acceptable for admission
• Check the test dates and registration deadlines and the SAT test centers on the College Board website

3) OMPT Test + English language certificate (Rolling)

• All OMPT tests are accepted with a minimum score of 55%.
• The OMPT and English language test scores must be available for Turku UAS by  September 17, 2026..

4) Certificate-based selection + English language certificate (Rolling)

• For Brazil, India, Japan, Morocco, Philippines, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam, IB Diploma from IBO (any country)
• Applicants are eligible for certificate-based selection only if they hold a qualifying degree from one of the specified countries and a valid English language certificate.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for Rolling Application, one of the following certificates is required:

• IELTS Academic: 6.0 (L, R, W, S)
• TOEFL Academic (iBT) taken before 21 January 2026: 60 (L, R, W, S)
• TOEFL Academic (iBT) taken on or after 21 January 2026: 3.5 (L, R, W, S)
• PTE Academic: 55 (L, R, W, S)
• Cambridge English Scale Score: 169 (L, R, W, S)
  • B2 First, C1 Advanced, or C2 Proficiency. No other Cambridge language tests are accepted.
• International Baccalaureate diploma: grade 4 in higher level English
• Upper secondary degree or higher education degree completed in English in an EU/EEA country, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Switzerland, United Kingdom, or the United States.
  • The language of instruction must be clearly stated on official documents. You can also document this by submitting a certificate/letter from your university / educational institution in addition to your official study documentation.
  • The degree must also be a qualification that provides eligibility for higher education in the country in which it was awarded.
  • Degrees from international schools or institutions located outside the listed countries, where the degree is completed locally but awarded by an institution from another country, do not qualify.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree certificate
• Transcript of Records (bachelor’s degree)
• GMAT or GRE
• Passport ID page OR official ID card indicating nationality
• Work certificate(s) of at least 24 months/2 years after bachelor graduation
  • With exact start and end dates of employment, the employer’s contact information, work duties, as well as working hours for part-time work. Other documents such as contracts of employment, CV etc. are not considered. – TURKU UAS: Work Experience Requirement
  • Employment certificates will be checked only from those admitted as students.  

Note: Original certificates must be shown when arriving in Finland. All documents need to be translated to either Finnish, Swedish or English, if the original document is in none of those languages. The translations need to be signed and stamped by an authorized translator.

Educational Background:

Must have a suitable bachelor’s degree in any field but preferably in business, and a minimum of two years of work experience after completing the eligible degree.

Selection Method:

GMAT/GRE test selection (Rolling)

Applicants who meet all the admission criteria will be accepted in the order that they have submitted their complete application

GMAT 

• GMAT (10th Edition) : Only the Total Score is considered in the admissions.  
  • The Total Score includes the Quantitative Section and the Verbal Section.  
  • The Analytical Writing Assessment and Integrated Reasoning sections do not affect the score. 
• GMAT (Focus Edition) : The GMAT Focus Edition score consists of all three sections of the test. 

GRE 

• The accepted exams are the GRE General Test and GRE Revised General Test ONLY.  
• The Verbal Reasoning Score and Quantitative Reasoning Score of the GRE test are taken into account.  
• The Analytical Writing section has no bearing on admissions process. 
• GRE test reporting code for Turku UAS is 1150.

Score Conversion: 

The GMAT Exam (Focus Edition) and GRE test results must be equivalent to the GMAT Exam (10th Edition) score.

• Minimum 500 from the GMAT Exam (10th Edition) score.
• The scores from GMAT Focus Edition are converted to GMAT Exam result by using the Concordance Table. 

• The GRE result is converted to GMAT Exam score by using the GRE Comparison Tool. When converting the GRE score, only the Verbal Reasoning Score and Quantitative Reasoning Score of the GRE test are taken into consideration. 

Verification: 

• The test must be taken early enough to meet the deadline. Applicants are responsible to enroll for the test sufficiently well ahead of time.  
• The official test result must be delivered directly from the test organizer to Turku UAS and must be received by Turku UAS by September 17, 2026. 
• Reports printed or sent by the applicant are not acceptable for admission. 
• GMAT and GRE test results are valid for five (5) years after the test day. 
• If the GMAT/GRE test scores do not arrive by the deadline or the scores are below the minimum requirement, you can not be accepted in this selection. 

GMAT 10th Edition, GMAT Focus Edition, and GRE exams are equivalent in the master’s admissions, i.e. none of the tests is considered superior to the other.
