How many degrees can I apply for?
All applicants are welcome to apply to as many universities as they would like. This will require to pay separate application fees for each university they apply for. However, if you meet the minimal requirements, you will get accepted to the university. Thus, it’s better to simply pick one university to apply for than to pay for multiple applications.
I have previously applied through Edunation, but haven't been accepted. Can I apply again?
Yes, you may apply as many times as you wish. However, we strongly recommend that you make sure you meet all the minimal requirements before applying.
Can I apply if I haven't received my graduation certificate yet?
Yes, you may apply, as long as you are certain that you will receive them before the start of your studies in Finland.
Do my educational documents have to be officially certified, i.e. attested?
Yes, all documents need to be officially certified and translated to either English, Finnish or Swedish.
Do I need to mail my application and documents to Edunation?
No, you only have to submit it online.

Is it possible to visit Edunation’s office?
Edunation’s offices are located in Tampere, Finland. The exact address is:
You may visit us on any working day from 8:00 until 17:00, but we do recommend that you inform us about your visit in advance.
What does the tuition fee cover?
Even though by applying through Edunation you will be paying less than you normally would for tuition, the fee still covers an abundance of things, such as:
- Guaranteed placement in the program within a week of sending in the application
- Application process
- Tuition at chosen university
- Guidance and services, before and during the study programme
- An official acceptance letter from the university
- A local contact person at the university
- Orientation at the destination
Where will I get information on the admission results?
You will receive an email which will prompt you to confirm your study place.
Can I apply if I haven’t received my language certification yet?
Unfortunately, your language certificate needs to be in the application. Thus, you cannot apply if you haven’t received it yet.
Do I have to take part in the entrance exam?
No. Edunation strives to simplify the application process to Finnish universities, which means the eradication of entrance exams.
Will Edunation help with Visa applications?
Yes, Edunation will guide you and answer any questions you may have about the Visa application process. We will also be in touch with the Immigration Office.
Can Edunation assist in the search for accommodation?

Am I eligible for Kela grants and loans and other student benefits?
Eligibility for Kela grants, loans and other student benefits depends on many things, including nationality.
If you are not a Finnish citizen and have come to Finland for study purposes, the general rule is that you cannot get financial aid from Finland.
However, in some cases you may be eligible for the aid.

Is it possible to make a transfer from my home university to a Finnish institution through Edunation?
Yes, Edunation also handles transfer cases. This needs to be stated in your application.
Are there any distance learning or online programmes that I can apply to through Edunation?
Yes, some of our partner universities do offer such programmes:

Is there a minimal GPA requirement for my application?
This depends on the universities’ specific requirements. Please check the minimal requirements for each university that you’re interested in applying to.
The language of instruction was English at my high school. Do I still need to take a language test?
No, you are not required to take a language proficiency test. However, you will be responsible for providing proof of the language of instruction.
