How many degrees can I apply for?
We recommend you to apply to only one university and degree program per application period. If you have submitted multiple applications, we will process only the most recent one.
I have previously applied through Edunation, but haven't been accepted. Can I apply again?
Yes, you may apply as many times as you wish. However, we strongly recommend that you make sure you meet all the admission requirements before applying.
Can I apply if I haven't received my graduation certificate yet?
Yes, you may apply, as long as you are certain that you will receive it before the start of your studies in Finland. Some universities may require it to be submitted even before. Check the application form of the university you want to apply to in order to see their requirements.
Do my educational documents have to be officially certified, i.e. attested?
Yes, all documents need to be officially certified and translated to either English, Finnish or Swedish if the original document is in none of those languages.
Do I need to mail my application and documents to Edunation?
No, you only have to submit it online.

What does the tuition fee cover?
When you apply through Edunation, you pay the same amount of tuition fees as applying directly through the university. However, with Edunation you will receive more services, such as:
- Guaranteed placement in the program within a month of sending in the application if you meet the admission requirements
- Application process
- Tuition at a chosen university
- Guidance and services, before and during the study program
- An official acceptance letter from the university
- A local contact person at the university
- Orientation at the destination
Where will I get information on the admission results?
After you have submitted your application with the required documents, it takes about 3-4 weeks for the university to make the decision about the accptance or rejection. You will receive the results by email.
Can I apply if I haven’t received my language certificate yet?
We have several programs in our offering where language certificate is not required. Please, check the admission requirements for each university and degree program that you are interested in applying to.
However, if a language certificate is required, it unfortunately needs to be attached in the application. Thus, you cannot apply if you haven’t received it yet. If you apply without it, we will keep your application, but will be unable to process it until you submit the missing documents.
Do I have to take part in the entrance exam in Finland?
No. Edunation strives to simplify the application process to Finnish universities, which means the eradication of entrance exams in Finland. However, some universities may require you to take an online exam.
Will Edunation help with visa/residence permit applications?
Yes, Edunation will guide you and answer any questions you may have about the application process. We will also be in touch with the Immigration Office for you if needed.
Can Edunation assist in the search for accommodation?
Yes, Edunation will guide you and answer any questions you may have about accommodation. For more city-specific information, check the page for Accommodation located under the Practical Info tab.
Am I eligible for Kela grants and loans and other student benefits?
If you are not a Finnish citizen and have come to Finland for study purposes, the general rule is that you cannot get financial aid from Finland.
However, in some cases you may be eligible for the aid.

Are there any distance learning or online programmes that I can apply to through Edunation?
Yes, some of our partner universities do offer such programs:
- Helsinki School of Business
- Bachelor’s degree in Business and Management (online program)

Is there a minimum GPA requirement?
This depends on the universities’ specific requirements. Please, check the admission requirements for each university and degree program that you are interested in applying to.
