Top notch education

Roughly 40 years ago, Finland implemented huge changes in their education system, and ever since it has consistently been topping the rankings for the best education system in the world. The Finnish education system is something that every prospective student has heard of, and thus many international students come to Finland to get a degree. The difference between Finland’s higher education institutions and those in other countries is that in Finland, the people that are in charge of the education system, are all trained teachers, and not politicians. This forces the system to focus on actually giving the students knowledge, rather than trying to take their money or benefit from them in any way.

“It’s simple, really… We believe that everyone in the world should have a shot at a superb college experience, and that’s how Edunation was born.”

Finnish institutions aim to make the students independent, to give them all the skills and tools that they may need in the future. In addition to the great education, many universities also require a mandatory internship to be done by the students, so that they can practice what they learned in the classrooms. This is a tremendous advantage in the job market, because employers are always searching for talented young people who have had some sort of work experience in a given field, be it internships, volunteering or actual jobs. Plenty of international students find very good jobs in Finland, and many even start their own companies. It’s also worth noting that numerous universities in Finland have partnerships with companies, through which they can then get an internship or even a job!
