Haaga-Helia consists of five campuses in total: three campuses in Helsinki, one in Porvoo and one in Vierumäki. Haaga-helia has been highly popular among students desiring to study business and hospitality in Helsinki region.

Haaga-Helia’s degree programs are practice oriented enabling students to get real-life experience in working with different companies. At Haaga-Helia, students study in a truly international environment. The English-taught bachelor’s and master’s programs have students from over 100 nationalities. Students have an opportunity to complete one semester as an exchange student in one of Haaga-Helia’s 200 partner universities around the world. Some partner universities also offer a possibility to acquire a double degree. Double degree students complete two semesters abroad and receive a diploma from both, Haaga-Helia and the partner university. Students can also complete their work placement abroad which is a good chance to increase professional expertise, language skills and cultural awareness.

Haaga-Helia also offers a program called StartUp School for students who are interested in entrepreneurship. This is an excellent opportunity to start a company and get support from experienced teachers at the same time. StartUp School is also great for those who already have their own business and want to get hands-on assistance. StartUp School operates on all five campuses of Haaga-Helia and is a good way to earn credits while starting or running a business.

Haaga-Helia has received a quality label from the Finnish Education Evaluation Centre, FINEEC. The audit team has praised, among other things, Haaga-Helia’s excellent working-life contacts and strong pedagogical teaching approach. In 2016, Haaga-Helia was ranked the best university of applied sciences in international student mobility, as well as the best in international student satisfaction.
