Through Edunation, you can apply for bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in the field of technology that are organized by Edunation and teaching is provided by LUT University. You can also apply to other degree programs that are offered by LUT University if you have taken GMAT or GRE test(s).

LUT also offers summer schools and winter schools. The courses are in the fields of business and technology that will enrich your knowledge. The programs are not only about academic studies, but also about acquiring a deeper understanding of Finnish society and culture with a range of social activities.

 

Tuition fees

Students who are from a non-EU/EEA country are required to pay a tuition fee.

  • Bachelor’s degree programs:10 500 € per academic year
  • Master’s degree programs (LUT track) : 10 000 € per academic year
  • Master’s degree programs (Edunation track): 11 000 € per academic year

 

Scholarships

There are no scholarships available through the Edunation track.

Through the LUT track, students can apply for scholarships which are awarded based on earlier study achievements.

 

The application process is fast and simple. The students are accepted on a first come, first served basis which means that if you meet the minimum criteria, you can get your acceptance within a month with Edunation track.

  • Admission requirements for bachelor's degree

    Make you sure you have all the following documents ready when you fill out the application form.

    Educational background

    Applicants who have completed a qualification outside Finland must submit the following documents to Edunation:

    • Copy of the final/official higher secondary school certificate or vocational qualification which gives eligibility for higher education studies in your own country
    • Transcript of records

    Note: Original certificates must be shown when arriving in Finland.

    Proof of nationality

    • Passport ID page OR official ID card indicating nationality

    Note: You will need a valid passport when you apply for a visa or residence permit.

    Paper-based admission

    You can be directly admitted to the Bachelor’s programs through Edunation if you have the following grades in your final upper secondary school certificate:

    • Overall GPA of 70 % or higher
    • Final grade of Advanced Math 70% or higher
    • Final grade of Physics or Chemistry 80% or higher
    • Language test result of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent

    If you are just below the limit of the those requirements, other factors can also be taken into account when assessing the application (i.e. completed courses or documented extracurricular activities in a related field).

    SAT

    If you don’t fulfil the paper-based admission criteria, you can also apply to LUT Bachelor’s programs with SAT Test scores, with a minimum score of 480 from Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and 500 from Math.

    LUT University’s institutional code for SAT-Test is 7603.

    Language requirements

    • IELTS 6.0 or equivalent OR
    • SAT Test Scores

    Language test is not required if you have completed your upper secondary studies in English in an EU/EEA country, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United States, OR if you have International Baccalaureate.

  • Admission requirements for master's degree (Edunation Track)

    Make you sure you have all the following documents ready when you fill out the application form.

    Educational background

    Applicants who have completed a qualification outside Finland must submit the following documents to Edunation:

    • Bachelor’s degree certificate from a related field (technology) with at least 24 ECTS credits in the field of your chosen master’s program
    • Transcript of Records

    Copies for the educational documents have to be officially certified. Whenever the degree has been completed in a certain country, there may be country-specific requirements for document certification involved.

    Proof of nationality

    • Passport ID page OR official ID card indicating nationality

    Note: You will need a valid passport when you apply for a visa or residence permit.

    Language requirements

    A proof of English proficiency is required for all degrees at LUT University. You will need to take at least one of these tests with the following scores:

    • IELTS: 6.0
    • TOEFL iBT: 80
    • TOEFL pBT: 550
    • TOEFL cBT: 213
    • Revised TOEFL Paper-delivered Test: 60
    • PTE academic: 54
    • Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): C

    The language certificate must be valid during the application period. The Pearson test of English, IELTS and TOEFL certificates are valid for two years. There are no limitations on the period of validity of the other certificates. A TOEFL test score will only be accepted if it has been directly submitted from the TOEFL Educational Testing Service (ETS). Edunation’s TOEFL code is C046.

    Language test is not required if bachelor’s degree has been completed in English in an EU/EEA country, Australia, Canada, New Zealand or the USA.

  • Admission requirements for master's degree (LUT Track)

    Make you sure you have all the following documents ready when you fill out the application form.

    Educational background

    Applicants who have completed a qualification outside Finland must submit the following documents to Edunation:

    • Bachelor’s degree certificate from a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.50 on the scale of 1.00 – 5.00.
    • Transcript of Records

    • Fluency in English. All courses are taught in English, and good English language skills are needed to follow lectures. No tests are required.
