The degree of International Tourism Management is a tourism degree offered by Satakunta University of Applied Sciences.
With the degree Bachelor of Hospitality Management, you will be well prepared for your future career in tourism and allow you to pursue a successful business career, either in the Nordic countries or elsewhere in the world.
Applicants who have completed a qualification outside Finland must submit the following documents to Edunation:
- Copy of the final/official higher secondary school certificate or vocational qualification which gives eligibility for higher education studies in your own country
- Transcript of records with a GPA 50% or above. This is required to be able to apply through Edunation.
- Optional: IELTS 6.0 or quivalent language test result, which gives the applicant one extra point in the student selection process
Note: All documents need to be translated to either Finnish, Swedish or English if the original document is in none of those languages. The translations need to be signed and stamped by an authorized translator.

Online exam and interview
For the International Tourism Management program, exams or interviews are not conducted. Applicants are selected based on their previous (high school) education performance. In the selection process, applicants can get an extra point if they have English language results of at least IELTS 6.0 or equivalent test scores.
The aim of the degree program is to provide students with skills and knowledge in developing tourism business and services. These include customer experience and quality management, service and experience design, selling tourism products off and online, business models and profitable economic solutions.
Students gain experience from hospitality, accommodation sector, event management and tourism distribution and specialize in designing extraordinary experiences in the Nordic nature.
The studies are carried out in close co-operation with working life and tourism enterprises. Students are provided with conceptual and experiential learning opportunities, e.g. in local and international internships and tourism development projects that address real-life challenges.
The studies include practical training, which offers students an excellent opportunity to develop a comprehensive view of the tourism field and networking in it.
