Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences offers a multicultural program in International Business. The study program provides you with business skills with a focus on the international operations of companies and organisations. Studying International Business in a multicultural group, consisting of other students prepares you for global working life.
You will gain competences in planning, running and developing business in a global environment. Besides theoretical foundation, you will get hands-on experience by working in a virtual enterprise and participating in company-commissioned projects.
You can specialize in Digital Business, the newest track in the program, where you will learn how digitalization is changing business everywhere. The program also allows international students to spend an exchange semester or study for a double degree in another country.
At SeAMK you will get to practice the language of international business English and enhance your communication skills.
The degree teaches you also about some of the most common areas in business, such as R&D, entrepreneurship, human resources, project management, cross-cultural marketing, finance and foreign trade.
All content in the degree is designed to be more international and flexible, taking into consideration the change’s in today’s business world. That is why the program also includes courses about digital business and e-commerce.
During their first year students will work in a virtual enterprise with students from different nationalities. After the first year, students will know how to establish a business, how to generate profit, make up a loss and fill out legal documents.
The second year focuses on international business operations and management. Degree students will be joined by exchange students and lecturers from partner universities around the world.

– Doing business in different target areas
– Project work in multidisciplinary student groups
The third year is used for an exchange semester abroad in one of SeAMK’s partner universities and also for a practical training. Students may apply for a double degree as well.
During the last semester students will write their bachelor’s thesis.
After graduating from SeAMK’s International Business program, you are ready for a wide range of international positions both in Finland and abroad.
Jobs are found, for example, in the fields of export and import operations, marketing, sales, customer relations, product and project management.
